Storywalkers is a private consulting firm based in Davis, California.  Since 2004, Mark Simon, Storywalkers founder and principal consultant, has worked with numerous private and public non-profit organizations across Northern California.  Storywalkers clients tend to be innovators – non-profit organizations seeking to identify, articulate and fund new ideas and ground breaking projects.  Current clients include public schools and school districts, community development organizations, social service agencies and leadership development organizations serving youth and adults.

Mark Simon – Principal Consultant

Mark Simon is an educator, consultant, writer and storyteller with 15 years of experience in schools, youth development and community development.  Before establishing Storywalkers, Mark was the founding director of Rural Action of Knights Landing and the Knights Landing Family Resource Center.  In Knights Landing, Mark raised over one million dollars to establish a center providing health and social services, youth development, after school programming and leadership capacity for this rural town of 2,000 residents.  Since establishing Storywalkers, Mark has successfully helped small grassroots non-profits as well as large public agencies raise money, clarify vision and articulate key pieces of their story.  Mark’s success is based on a deep commitment to listening and reflection.  Whether facilitating a collaborative planning meeting, leading a workshop or drafting a proposal, Mark is attuned to the priorities and values of all involved.
